2fortytwo | Fuel | Life Groups

The idea of 2fortytwo is not a new one; actually it's a couple thousand years old. It comes from Acts 2:42, and for this group of new believers church was much more than songs and a 3-point sermon. Church was not a building, it was a way of life.

At it’s core, 2fortytwo is about real people, real life, and real church.

It’s purpose is to become a group of people who are committed to MEETING together, devoted to the TEACHINGS of the Bible, and desiring Genuine CONNECTION with God and others. REAL CHURCH

It's a place where you don't have to show up with a smile just because you're going to church. REAL PEOPLE

It's a place where you can talk about the good, the bad, and the very bad in a community of people who watch each other's backs. 2fortytwo is about creating an environment where people can learn from each other, care for one another and share God in a real way with each other. REAL LIFE

We Meet Tuesday’s at 7pm

Fuel is what we need to keep going day after day, week after week. In the context of our College Ministry, our Fuel is learning together about God, His character and attributes through a community worship experience.

During the school term, we meet monthly on Sunday evenings, 8:00 p.m., on campus at Club Escape (the International Forum) to meet God in experiential worship and prayer together. The GOAL of this time is to UNITE believers in worship and INVITE non-believers to meet God through this worship experience. We hope to include other college ministries in this worship experience as this new opportunity unfolds.

This Fall, we will offer weekly life groups of 15 or less on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday nights.

We hope to increase the relationship factor in our group and further encourage care and accountability as we do life together. This will provide a place for people to continue to grow together even when class schedules don't allow people to attend 2fortytwo on Tuesdays.

These groups will be open the first two weeks of each term and then be closed for the rest of the term to foster deeper intimacy vs. a revolving door.

The Weekly Bible Study however, will remain open throughout the year.
